Hello From Chile

Hi guys, I'm so happy at last of being capable of posting here. I love, I mean LOVE this place.

Thank you sooooo much for letting me in.

well, my name is Pauline, I'm 28 years old and I'm from Chile (in the bottom of the planet, near argentina) I'm a Detective trainee and I'm also a journalist (used to be a musical journalist back in the day)

I'm here cos I love Japan and David Sylvian, but I'm a noob in the whole sense cos I started to listen to them at the end of 2007 more or less. I have to say I don't regret it at all. I met them musically cos of Duran Duran.

I'm a fan of them since I was 13 and I always loved to hear their influences, I noticed don't remember how exactly that they were Japan and Sylvian fans, so I started to hear them and I fell in love with their music, particulary Sylvian's. My fave record so far is Secrets of the Beehive, but I also love his project Nine Horses.

My nickname is because I love comics and Moonshadow is a comic book where the main character is based on David's features.

I am sometimes envious of people such as yourself, as it is so much fun discovering a really exciting musical world, as you are now doing. When I think about it, I can think of "discovering" only three totally new (to me) musicians that really altered my world/music views in the past 10 years. I mean, the kind of earthshattering experience that I think all of us on this forum share with our love and enthusiasm for Sylvian/Japan.

(For the record, those artists are two Japanese women musicians, UA and Shiina Ringo, and the Brazilian maestro Caetano Veloso.)
