Hi from Vietnam...

Tell us a little bit about you...

Hi from Vietnam...

Postby TrangLee on Fri Sep 26, 2008 9:49 am

Hi there I'm Trang from Vietnam and I am a seventeen girl who was completely obsessed with David Sylvian from the first time seeing him on TV three moths ago...

I'm sorta very shy  I've registered and received an email said that my account need to be activated before I can post...

Well I dunno if I can post just now, but I just simply want to say that I love Mr. Sylvian and Japan a lot although I just have been listened to them for three months.

My language is very limited and I think I would bother you lovely people here a lot about song meaning :") I'm very new to Sylvian/Japan music so I need your help really!

Anyway I wish you all a nice weekend :D
I am new here :"> And I can't speak English very well.

Hiya TrangLee and welcome! :D

To be honest, even if you are a native English speaker like me, sometimes you still don't know what the lyrics are about. Not long ago I seem to remember we were talking about what Taking Islands in Africa might be about...

Hello TrangLee, welcome to the strangely beautiful world of Sylvian/Japan!

Yes, the lyrics. OK. Lyrics although in English are a mystery to me most of the time. I have to listen repeatedly. I mean, for years I thought David was singing about "pickles heading for sunset ..."

Thank you all :D Yes Sylvian's words are always subtle, and I am always struggling listening to what he sings... Sometimes I wonder if he was singing in English or not :p so sorry for my stupidity.
I used to think he was singing "edge of reason" instead of "age of reason" in The Ink In The Well...
