I didn't realise there was a message board for David Sylvian fans until I stumbled across this the other day! It is really great to find others who share a love for David's music. I am also signed up to the Nightporter site/yahoo group, so I may have met a few off you already.
A little bit about myself.....? Have been a follower of David's work for around 15-16 years now. Have tried to convert others to his music, - have had about a 50/50 success rate so far. And took the love of the band to extremes, with the aid of Deed Poll. So I am legally, Ellyn Sylvian. (When I explain to others how the name came about.. I get some very strange looks, oh well)
Am quite into the whole Scrapbooking thing, I have completed quite a few. Am nearly finished a three album one on Arcadia (a Duran Duran spin off from 1985) and am starting to plan one for both Japan and David Sylvian. (Although will have to collect a few more cuttings etc, so it may mean some late night ebay hunting.)
I am also quite fond of Duran Duran as well, (one seems to compliment the other I think), and have to admit that I got into Japan via Duran Duran, well more importantly Nick, who is still my favourite in that band...
Anyway, enough about all that. Will end my introduction with a big THANK YOU to the organisers of this site. And I look forward to hearing from you all soon.
