Japan live bootlegs update

Postby Burnsjed on Mon Sep 17, 2007 9:27 am

I have extended the following concerts on megaupload for another 3 months, so they will all be available through December.
I have gotten a little 'lazy' recently and haven't uploaded the rest of the bootlegs, but demand hasn't been that great, and it does take a while to load them up in to my computer and then on to Megaupload.
I will try and get the other Japan concerts uploaded over the next few months, and then move on to the Sylvian concerts.
I am not posting the links here, as we don't want to create any problems for the website, so anyone interested kindly pm me.
I haven't listened to thse for a while, so I am not really inn a position to say which recodrings stick out, and there is a lot of repetition in them. I.s same set list from teh same tour, just different dates.

The 1977 Demo's (ok not live, but I will put it here)
4 March 1978 - Live at Music Machine, London
5-17 March 1979 Live at Budokan Tokyo
1979 Budokan Live In tokyo
10 March 1979 Live at Osaka Festival Hall
7 April 1979 Live at Paradiso Amsterdam
12 Arril 1979 Live at the Rainbow Thatre London
4 March 1980 Live at Venue Theatre London
27 March 1980 Live at Mito Hall Tokyo
18 April 1980 Live at Hammersmith Odeon London
7 February 1981 Live at Hammersmith Odeon London
23 February 1981 Live in Kyoto

I would also like to apologise to My Sylvian and the other members of Japan in advance, for abuse of copyright etc, but i am not making anything out of this!
Btw I am not looking for any trades etc, this is free, just need to get a megaupload account which is free, and start downloading

Thank you.

To others interested in getting some of these, I graded a track from each of the early era boots, and I found 'European Sun' to be the best of them.

I added two more last night, I haven't deliberately missed some gigs out, I am either having a problem with some of the tracks (this has happened on numerous previous uploads, so will go back to these), or the tracks are not seperated, so I either need to upload the whole thing as 1 track, or go through it and 'cut' it up.

27 October 1982 Live at Newcastle City Hall, Egland (2 discs)

18 November 1982 Live at Hammersmith Odeon, London (2 discs)

Those that want these pm me and I will send the links as before.
I should hopefully get on to the solo stuff soon, which in my humble opinion, are much better.

If anyone has any troubles with the links I have sent them, kindly pm me, they may have expired, so I just need to reload them, which doesn't take that much time as they are already set up from last time.

If I remember right the February 7th 1981 Hammersmith show was taken directly from a radio broadcast... So it's great quality! Probably my favorite Japan bootleg.

There a few that are taken straight from a Japanese radio broadcast, guess it shows the difference in their popularity!
When I finally get to the Sylvian recordings they are of a better standard, due to recording devices etc.

That bootleg that I got from you is awesome. I suggest everyone get it.

EDIT TO ADD:

It's painfully obvious that they were not very good musicians lol...but the charm and swagger is still clearly present, which more than makes up for the shortcomings!
