the original version of Damage I reckon. I thought it better than the remixed version, but some git (namely me), broke the CD so now all i've got is the reissue.

Fripp, no doubt! I actually didn't like "First Day" when it came out. I thought it it sounded unfocused and grungy and wall-of-distortion and all that. It still kinda bugs me.

But "Damage" is wonderful. It clearly showcases the strengths of each musician involved. There's a palpable chemistry among the band that seems to be missing from the studio recordings.

And David's vocals are utterly stunning. He's more soulful, heartfelt and vibrant than I've ever heard him. Definitely among his finest performances, methinks.

Hmm.... Not really rock, or an album... But the song "Cover Me With Flowers" Is pretty heavy for a Sylvian song!!

I found i had a track called firepower recently which is heavy. The guitar work on it is excellent!
