My favorite song :)
It really is a strange thing Bowie never appears in the video, Celliers is the only character missing. Does anyone know the reason why?

I've never seen a live version of this!

I heard a rumor because Bowie said "It is better without vocal" .
so Sylvian didn't add any figure of Bowie :-D
only a rumor

Sylvian had nothign to do with the concept of the video.

Only video he was ever invoñved with was ´Visions of China´.

Hi this is my first message! :)

Could it be that Bowie declined to sing on Forbidden Colours because it was David Sylvian´s or something like that?
I heard somewhere that it was Bowie, not Sylvian, the one who was supposed to be singing it in the first place...

But Bowie refused, so Sylvian sung it.

Ryuichi asked Bowie originally but he declined and said he preferred to concentrate on acting at that time instead of music. He then asked David and he contributed to the lyrics/vocals. I don't think there is anything to be read into about Bowie not being in the Video.

Does anybody think it's a little silly the video was excluded from the new Criterion Mr. Lawrence DVD? Hell of a biffed opportunity.
