It's a lovely, lovely edition, be prepared to spend a whole lot of money indeed!
That's if you manage to prise it out of someone's hands!

Oh I know I have been looking and looking for one for years. Only 500 copies were printed so it is going to be a very rare item indeed.

The last time I saw one for sale, it was on Ebay. Think it sold for about £700 sterling.

What i want, what i really really want...

...is one of the original montages. What happened to them all? Who bought them at the time? How much are they worth now? Who will give me one out of the kindness of their heart???

I also wonder how much they cost at the time?

I have the UK Perspectives and bought it while in London a year after it came out, cost £14 sterling, still has the price sticker on the back cover. I don't know if that was the original price or not, since the book was on what I took to be a discount table, mixed in with all sorts of other books.

I've seen only a few pages from the Japanese version, small scans that appeared on other websites. It contains copies of correspondence between David and Ryuichi, as I understand. Would love to read those letters/notes.

The original price was 18,000 Yen and there were only 500 made...

I had no idea what that might translate to in pounds or dollars, so I dug through old issues of Bamboo and finally came across a small article - the fanzine had wanted to print the wording in the letter, but were denied permission. It states that the Japanese version cost about 90 pounds (at the time).

With today's exchange rate it would be $164.25 / £87.63
