Thom yorke quote

Postby billster on Fri Aug 08, 2008 6:30 am

I hung around a bit with his friends, what I remember most was that however trashed the place got the night before these people would come and clear it all up in the morning.’ Yorke was a musical prodigy of sorts, and by the age of thirteen he was strumming a guitar and composing lyrics. A half-generation too young for Punk, his early influences - he confessed with a wry smile - included naff Japan. ‘I loved David Sylvian’s voice’, and the predictable REM.

recently I heard The Best of Radiohead at a shop, I thought his vocal similar to David.
I only new Karma Police, and I didn't like it. I didn't know their other tracks. I heard samples and I started to think they are nice.

I forget which track was it. :?
I didn't mean David's solo, I mean David's Japan era vocal.
but I heard it only one time while I was passing through there, so next time my thoughts might change. :-)

Absolutely like Sylvian "old" voice but I can't stand Thom Yorke's voice.. Sorry.. And I don't think he sounds like younger David at all :?

I do like Radiohead's music though, just don't like the voice..

Agree 100%. That dude's voice is like a dying baby seagull. I can't even listen to them.
