Hello,

This is my first post on the forum, but I suppose it is kind of a big one!

I have just finished putting together a new Japan fan site at http://www.lifeintokyo.net.

It started as a short project to beef up my design portfolio and I ended up getting a bit carried away with it. I still have a ton of other material I'd like to add to the site, and hopefully I'll have the time to work on that in the near future. Anyway, check it out and I'd like to hear what you think!

Life.in.Tokyo

p.s. I'm still finding some typos and bugs on the site so if you find something I missed or something that looks strange in your browser, it would be great if you'd let me know.

wow this is gorgeously designed. You did a terrific job. Is it from a standardized type page where you just insert your information or did you create the entire thing yourself?

I built the site myself from the ground up.

Thank you all for your comments.

I build websites myself, but am no where near as good as you. I didn't stick with it as a business after college courses i took in it. You have a great talent. You did a similar thing with your thumbnails as I did with mine on my website. Probably why i like yours so much :-) WWWEEEE

Wow thank-you for the articles this has eliminated the burning desire that I had to achieve that Japan Fan Library a little. It's a wonderful and very good looking site :D

Great stuff. Thanks.
At the end of 'The Japanese Connection' article there's some info on the band members' future projects that made my mouth water:
David was planning a single with Andy Warhol(!);
Mick and Steve were supposed to be working at an album together;
Rich was writing material for a solo album.
I wonder what we missed and what flowed into other projects...
(I looked up the musicians on Mick's first solo album and Steve only plays on 2 tracks, but they co-produced 'Dreams of Reason'... As for Rich, assuming from some interviews that the music on 'Things Buried' is all recent stuff, his early compositions have either gone to shape 'Worlds In A Small Room', or... where are they, Rich?)

Good question Inkinthewell. C'mon Mr B - where has that material of yours disappeared to? :shock:
life.in.tokyo, thank you - your site is fabulous, fantastic design for a fantastic group. I salute you! :smt038

I read an oldish interview with RB where he said: "I might do a solo album but I've been saying that for 20 years": this was obviously before the release of Things Buried. There is meant to be a compilation out this year with previously unreleased stuff - I'm hoping, anyway...
