Mick's Top Twelve

Postby heartofdavid on Sat May 12, 2007 9:33 am

I was listening to an old tape of a Radio One broadcast, Mick Karn playing and commenting on songs he'd chosen as his top twelve (March, 1983). Funny start by the announcer who introduced him as "Mike Karn", quickly made a correction.

Mick said he went through his cupboard and brought in a stack of cassettes - here are his picks:

1. Supremes - Where Did Our Love Go?
2. Peter Gabriel - Games Without Frontiers
3. Todd Rundgren - I Saw The Light
4. Talking Heads - Born Under Punches
5. Aretha Franklin - Say a Little Prayer
6. Roxy Musix - All I Want is You
7. The Righteous Brothers - You've Lost That Loving Feeling
8. Cockney Rebel - Mr. Soft
9. David Bowie - Scary Monsters
10. Michael Jackson - She's Out of My Life
11. Brian Eno - Kings Lead Hat
12. 10cc - I'm Not In Love

An interesting mix.

Very interesting and I've heard of all of them except Cockney Rebel and Todd Rundgren.
