Dalis Car InGladAloneness on Vinyl

Postby Quiet Visitor on Fri May 08, 2015 5:33 am

Just got a mail that Mick's last work with Dalis Car, InGladAloneness, will be released on Vinyl. More information on:

I wonder if the bass will sound even better when you play this LP. Must be the case :)

Thanks for posting this. Just pre-ordered it (and ordered Lumen along with it!) I recently upgraded my stereo - bought a new Clear Audio turntable and a T+A amplifier. Should go well with the Chario speakers! It will be interesting to listen to this compared to the CD version. I can just imagine the bass will come out a lot stronger.

Yes, especially because this is a quite short album, which gives the bass all the space it needs in the grooves.

Next in line is the re-issue on LP from Mick's "Each Eye A Path".

The LP is pressed as a 45 rmp 12". It sounds wonderful, while the cover is so much more beautiful at this size.

What surprised me a little was the sticker on the front "2002 E.P. from Mick Karn (Japan) and Peter Murphy..."
2002? Really? I thought this was a 2011 album!

Same here! KScope made a mistake with that sticker.

It was released in 2012, so KScope weren't so far off: they got three numbers right out of 4. And in the right order! :smt038

Well, this is slightly away from the subject, but last Friday I watched the Peter Jackson-version of "King Kong" once more.
In one of the last scenes on the island where Kong and the Naomi Watts-character are recovering from the battle with the dino's it was as if the cover of InGladAlonene§ was on the screen. That mystical shore with those fantasy-like rocks reminds me very much of the cover. I almost made the mistake that the first track had to be "King Kong" in stead of "King Cloud".

PS Don't know why the option doesn't work.
