I have just sent out a mass e-mail about Mick's condition to all JapanSylvian members.

Please let me know if you received it so I know it was sent out OK.

Thanks to everyone for your support of Mick during this time.

I know it's quite a while since I've been here but I just wanted to come back and say how shocked and saddened I am regarding the terrible news about Mick. Words, however heartfelt and sincere, just seem inadequate but I just want to say that my thoughts will be constantly with both him and his family at this difficult time :(

Terrible news. I found out on a movie site, of all things, so word is getting out there. It would be nice to see some of his past colleagues (not just Japan) do a benefit gig for him.

Touching banner on this site too, nice work.

Best wishes Mick.

I came today but saw the old banner. I had to refresh it to see it. Lovely job Kera, and I did also get the e-mail. I donated a couple days ago and got his book. Was all more than I can afford now, but I just hope it helps.

I must admit that I haven't been on this site for quite a while, (have been having health issues of my own - fortuately caught early).

Anyway, just thought I would leave a message to say I got the email, and it sucked the air out of my lungs while reading it. I came here to find out more information, and as mentioned by another poster if it is Stage Four, and has spread as far as it has, - I have the sinking feeling, that sad news will follow.

Although not a great fan of Mick's work, (it's just a personal thing, although the stuff he did with Steve I like), my heart does go out to his wife and young child. It will be a stressful time for Mick and his family, and my thoughts are with them.

He seems too young to have cancer, although as I learnt myself, cancer know nothing about age. It hits randomly, and early detention (and treatment) is the only defence we can put up.
