20 quid does seem a bit expensive - but I'm sure it will be fascinating and it will be intriguing to hear about his time with Japan from the horses mouth- so I'll probably buy it anyway! :)

Got it today. :D Only thumbed through it rather quickly, but I just had to stop and look at the picture at page 46! And what about David's face in the pic at page 60!

"Hang on a minute... Where's The Doc?"
That got me laughing all morning long.

(For those that haven't read Mick's book, 'The Doc' is Richard Barbieri, and I'm not going to tell you what happened to him!)

I read this book in 4 hours I couldn't put it down.To have that insiders view of japan was great. I'm really disappointed in "Dave" If all what Mick says is true. "Big Bad Sylv" as he calls him!! Just goes to show your hero's are not always very nice people.
I was also shocked that the car crash story was just a cover for the fact "Dave" was having an affair and Yuka gave him a good kick in!! Serves him right, mind you a lot of fans at the time were worried about that whole car crash thing, very naughty. Seems my perfect view of ds is somewhat shattered now, he's not a God just a man with a very big ego by the sounds of it!! Still, you have to love him though!

well when I say a good kick in perhaps thats an exaggeration! But she caught him with another woman and damaged him enough (perhaps bruising or scratches) for the car crash story to seem plausable! Who'd have thought it!! David you little devil!
