Richard will be joining The Bays and The Heritage Orchestra for selected dates next month. These concerts will take the form of an improvised set of electronic and orchestral music.

11/11/08: Manchester RNCM
12/11/08: Gateshead Sage
17/11/08: Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
18/11/08: Northampton Royal Derngate
19/11/08: Leicester De Montfort Hall
20/11/08: Basingstoke Anvil

Also Richard will travel to Australia with The Bays early next year to perform two shows on the 14th / 15th January at the Sydney Festival. This time the band will be improvising to the film "Run Lola Run" and will perform, along with a giant screen, from a floating barge in the Sydney Harbour.

Keep checking thebays.com and richardbarbieri.net for updates and more detailed info on both events

Guess who envies you?
Hope that this time The Bays will add at least one of these shows to their Sounds page. I've always been rather pissed off by the fact that none of the available downloads are of performances with Richard...

I caught them last week too. Amazing concert! I take my hat off to all concerned, particuarly the conductor Jules Buckley, who did an outstanding job.

Also saw Sweet Billy Pilgrim and Arve Henriksen at Punkt (or Poonkt, I as I will now have to call it, having finally heard the word spoken out loud). SBP did a really lovely set and gave Samadhisound and David a name check for the release of the new album. Arve's playing was so beautiful, it reduced me to tears. Words cannot describe......
