After watching the beautiful clip which accompanies the intense song I also made my order.

this album deserves a much wider audience. A beautiful crafted piece of work and the contribution from Steve is utterly sublime. It's all in the "feel" and my god Steve J has that in buckets. Excellent album, recommended.

Indeed, a gorgeous album. Reminds me slightly of the more quiet moments on Steve Booker's "Dreamworld". The beautiful thing about the compositions is that they initially feel like introvert symphonic singer-songwriter-pop and they there's a twist (often lead by Steve) and the song turns into something completely else.

Quote from the booklet:

"Steve Jansen recorded at Samadhi Sound Studios, New Hampshire, USA.

Yes, there was a blog post about his work with Steve (see link). It has a photo of Steve's drum setup at Samadhisound at the time. I guess that was probably the last time Steve worked with David in the NH studio.

I think I saw that blog when searching for some information. I wonder if the track "Rescue Me" Hugh mentions has been skipped from the album or that it got a different title.
