The new band of Takahashi Yukihiro, Pupa, released their first album 'floating pupa' on 07.02.2008.

I saw it's leaflets at the store, 39 people left congratulations on it.

here is Steve Jansen's

a colourful blend of personalities and musical styles that is immediate and uplifting.
takahashi's penchant for electronica and acoustic instrumentation is always apparent,
and beneath the alluring vocal melodies one can detect a reverent nod to the easy listening of Bacharach.
Steve Jansen

also Ryuichi Sakamoto, Hosono Haruomi and Keigo Oyamada add comments.

若々しい音でいい!ユキヒロの声も若い!
ユキヒロはおっさんとやってるより、若者とやってる方が似合うよ。
若いってのはいいなあ
坂本龍一

It is good by a youthful sound! The voice of Yukihiro is young, too!
playing with young people become Yukihiro than play with old birds.
It is great to be young
Ryuichi Sakamoto

絶妙な仕立てとポップなデザインで、ついにスケッチショーを超えたね!
細野晴臣

It surpassed Sketch Show at last, in exquisiteness and a pop design!

Thank you for the heads up on this! It's very expensive as an import though, can't afford it.

Side note - the title of the band and album made me laugh. I happen to be Polish and the word 'pupa' means @ss in Polish - don't think that's what they had in mind with the name, lol.

I am most impressed with Tim Elsenburg's remix of Conversation Over (humorously enough retitled Colloquium Terminat). Removing the percussion and drum samples really opened up the space for Jansen's orchestral arrangement to come to the forefront. Elsenburg's additional keyboard and guitar parts are minimalistic but help to give the piece some rhythmic definition. Overall, this is a fantastic track. Kudos to Mr Elsenburg.

"Polish" is used very loosely, refers most often to the language but also to things 'of the country of Poland', like the people, food, customs, etc.

The proper term for a native of Poland is Pole. But I'm not a native. I was born in the States and Polish is my first language. :-)
