The plot thickens!

You certainly ruffled a feather there :) If it is indeed that old then I can see why Opium's office didn't acknowledge it. As a journalist he should have not been misleading with 'on the heels of his current release Sleepwalkers'.

Edit: It was a storm in a teacup, the interview was taken from the "Everything and Nothing" era but the author is quite upset to have been falsely accused. Understandably. Paul, I'm not sure what the actual response back from Opium was but the miscommunication needs some putting to rights.

I've removed my comments (based on an email from Gerrit). I have apologised to the author. I wish it had been mentioned in the original piece that this was from the E&N era.

Good man :)
Does Gerrit plan to go back and clarify their mistake to them?

Opium's mistake? I don't know, I've PM'd Gerrit about this of course. I'd like to leave this for now - very embarrassed about it.

Well yeah, for gerrit to email you with that statement, he needs to be responsible. After all, he went to the bother to ask them for a reason. Opiums PR isn't exactly great at the best of times so if they have made an incorrect error that caused a journalist's integrity to be under question, then they should know.
