The extra Tracks....

So what do people feel about the 'extra' Nine Horses tracks from the CD single of Wonderful World and the Jpaanese edition of the album?

I like them a lot. In case you haven't heard them:

Birds Sing For Their Lives (From the Japanese edition) is a Stina Nordenstam vocal - very nice, about 7 mins long I think. I suppose if you don't like her voice it won't do much for you.

When Monday Comes Around (From The wonderful World single) A Sylvian vocal this time - isn't that (part of) a line from All Tomorrows Parties  Don't think there is any other link though.

I noticed that too!

He uses titles of songs from lines in other songs a lot! Or, maybe vice versa- It's so cool.

Ok... I finaly was able to hear "Birds sing for their lives" on Keith Lowe's myspace page. I don't particularly care from Stina Nordenstam's voice that much- But I loved the song anyway! I really really like the intro... Reminds me of walking down a dark deserted hallway. Her voice is ok in this song though.

yes, I really like her voice too. But I have to be in a certain mood for it. I love the songs she sang with Brett Anderson of Suede.

I haven't listened to her albums. I like her voice , but I agree with you. It's a kind of voice to listen in a very special moment.

I didn't know she had sang with Brett!!! I definitely have to check that out, since I'm a Suede fan since I was...11??? I miss them so much, though :(

I really like When Monday Comes Around. I can see why it was left off the album since its atmosphere seems out of sync with the other songs. But its still a lovely song, with a baritone croon to melt the stoniest heart. Maybe its just me, but it reminds me a lot of the sylvian/karn song 'when love walks in.'

Hi God! Its on Mick's second solo Album 'Dreams of Reason Produce monsters.' its one of two songs that David provided vocals for. The other song was 'Buoy'. I think it came out in 1986 (could be wrong). Hope you find it.
