Some of us, myself included, did not know much if anything about Burnt (Bernd) Friedman before Nine Horses. Personally, I had just heard the name from a review. Since the NH CD, I have gotten the Secret Rhythms project with Jaki Liebezeit and really liked the music, including the different version of 'The Librarian'.

Wanted to pass along a page with his extensive discography.

There is also a full-length video from his group The Nu Dub Players (2003)for download at:

Finally, this is his label's site... http://nonplace.de/cms/ with download store containing streaming samples from some albums.

PS> Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!

I've never seen Burnt, David and Jaki's 'Out In The Sticks' 12" ep from last year.

Anyone have it?

Yes, I have it. Well worth tracking down if you can find it.

Burnt Friedman, has a new album "1st Night Forever" released on 24 September 2007.

Sorry for bumping an old topic but I couldn't really find a better topic...

I've been lately listening a lot of the three Secret Rhythms albums he made with Jaki Liebezeit. Great stuff. I like the second one the best, highlight being David Sylvian in a version of The Librarian. That version isn't half as good as the Nine Horses version. It really underlines the beauty David has when it comes to little details. The record has a groovy version of When Earth Stole Heaven and everything folds nicely together.

Makes me wish for a second Nine Horses album..
