Birds Sing For Their Lives

This track is amazing. I continue to be surprised.

Puts me into a top floor apartment high above a city with rain slowly streaming down big windows and running along the gutters. I can see the roof of the building next door and the hazy skylights on top. It is dark, the lights are all off save a small lamp in the corner of the room and it's close to midnight but the streets are busy with car headlights, red green and yellow lights from signs and traffic. I can't hear any noise, just the music. I can't even see specific objects or the edges of pavements, it is all a bit blurred liked my eyes are filled with rain. It makes me feel detached, like a ghost with a camera swooping between ground level and being up in the sky. It is very haunting. I want to listen to it in the setting described above...maybe in the future.

Wow I've just found this video on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXam1GIHa5c Bizarre. It is perfect.

Stina Nordenstam is pretty amazing in general. I wish that she would record again.

Such a wonderful track. I love Steve's percussion work, the beautiful guitar work and then that fragile, lovely voice on top...'I had two weeks of silence, from the voice in my head...'. Just stunning.

Has she abandoned music / singing completely?
