maybe i'm entering dangerous ground now, but...
I don't really like Nine Horses. ...pause... anymore,
well... or, not as I used to, when it came,
it bores me slightly.
I so much prefer to listen to Rain Tree Crow nowadays...
each single song on the Nine Horses album has an element that is annoying...
I miss the calm. I prefer David when he's relaxed. Here, it often feels forced.
Among the latest songs i adore Playground Martyrs, The World Is Everything, Exit/Delete.
And my heart sings of many things

yes i do like the world is everything as well. I don't htink you should feel bad about being on the outs with Nine Horses.... I went through a phase too where i just couldn't stand the sound of it anymore. I started listening to it one day and it just was like... blah boring. But, since then I've come back around to it. I think we all need a break sometimes to rediscover our love of something.

so true.
Blemish is different though.
it grew on me slowly. I liked it in the beginning and now I love it.
I guess I will adore it tomorrow.

SBS is a classic. Currently listening to When Monday Comes Around, which in my opinion should have been on the cd instead of Serotonin or The Day That Earth Stole Heaven.

Yeah I listened to SBS to death; because it's so high in quality and gives so much. Couldn't stand listening to it for a long while (I only put in on very rarely now - but I know it's a 'stayer' if you know what I mean).

The World is Everything is great too in my opinion.

Oh my I was considering starting a topic like this, I am glad I don't need to. Have just been listening to Snow Borne Sorrow a lot tonight for the first time in aaaaages and oh my it's just beautiful stuff.

What I cannot get over is the fact that all the songs are lyrically immense, I mean just perfectly written lyrically. "Wonderful World", "Serotonin","History of Holes", "Atom and Cell" I am starting to think are my favourite lyrics ever they just move me so deeply. Then I mean you move onto things like "The Librarian", "The Day the Earth Stole Heaven" and they are almost just as good.

Top calibre stuff...I'm glad to have this experience of coming back to it and being totally in love.

Now playing: Nine Horses - Serotonin

A high water mark for sure, and I'm sure most of us hope for a followup album. I do hope we get some signs from DS that it is a strong possibility.

Uhm... Signs. The best we can hope for is for him to wink twice while singing "Wonderful World" on his next tour.
We'll hardly get anything from Samadhisound: they're too busy posting updates on Manafon!

Nah, I found Snow Borne Sorrow to be a patchy affair. Here's hoping the next one will be much better...

yeah, I have to agree, and even, sorry to say it, but SBS is his most disapppointing work ever.
