Personal Galleries - Everyone gets one!

Postby Silver Moon on Sun May 21, 2006 9:19 pm

For those who don't know- You can upload your own pictures to your personal galleries. (Like Myspace) just like loading them to the photo album. You can get to personal galleries from the Photo Gallery page, or from anyone's profile. Upload pictures of yourself, or whatever you want! I would love to see you guys!

PS: If you want to have a good laugh, check out my personal gallery to see one of my 80's roleplaying moments! I just put it up today.

Hi Proggrl,

Yes that is my bass, but I have only had it for a few months. It's a "Tune" And it sounds great! I don't quite have an amp yet, but I do play through this Tascam bass box. It also has this one setting that sounds very similar to Mick Karn!!

And I am assuming it's fretless?

It looks fretted to me. Fretless basses are very difficult to play (if you want it to sound right anyway).

I picked one up and noodled around on it, but I don't know if you'd call that playing. I tried with it a few times, but my frustrations got the better of me. I was told it takes a looooot of practice and feel. Honestly I don't practice that much on my fretted, so... But, I'd love to be able to play it and have to patience to stick with it.

I would guess it's a bit like playing a classical stringed instrument - you have to develop a feeling for where to put your fingers. It's something I'd love to have a bash at, as I used to play the violin - but I was looking at prices of Wal basses the other day and they're so expensive!! Will have to start saving up....

Nope- It's a fretted bass. I couldn't imagine starting out on a fretless!

Ah......and what sort of things do you play - Karn-esque basslines?

Looking forward to seeing your pics Poison, and good luck with your exams.

Hmm... I'm learning "Sons of Pioneers" now- It's very very hard but it is a lot of fun! Sometimes I play along with "World Citizen - I won't be dissapointed" But I'm basically just playing scales for now!

-Kera-

PS: Good luck on the exams Poison- It's such a great feeling when they are over!!
