A few scans...

Postby Moon Park on Tue Feb 03, 2009 9:14 am

Hi there, I'm new here *waves shyly* I've stuck up a few scans from the Fin Costello Sons of Pioneers book into the galleries - would anyone like me to scan and upload some more from the book, or are you all sick of seeing them? I put up a load of Rich pics that I had personally never seen before, so I hope that pleases the other Rich fans on the boards (of which I am most certainly one XD)

I also have a loverly shiny copy of the 1979 Music Life Special (my birthday pressie from my husband!) which I can scan and upload, if anyone wants those pics as well - just say the word and I'll get the monkeys manning the hand-crank on my steampunk-style Victorian scanner back to work XD

:D Absolutely my pleasure - I'm so glad to be able to contribute something to the community! :D I will scan the rest of the Costello pics in over the next couple of days - I'm about to shove up pics from a couple of issues of Bamboo in a minute, and tomorrow I'll do the Music Life Special as well :D

I quite agree - the Fin Costello pics are just so gorgeous, I nearly blubbed when I finally managed to get my hands on a copy

I will have a look at my collection over the next couple of days, but I'm fairly sure I don't have anything recent - sorry! :( I'll check it over though 'cos I don't know what I've got stashed away any more

Moon Park, you're amazing! You've totally made my day! I keep refreshing the page to see what's next.

Thank you very much. It must have taken you some time to scan all these.

(Plus, you actually managed to make me finally post something!)

LOLZ XDDDDDD You guys are the best, seriously - I am SO glad I could make you all happy

Actually *cough* I'm literally still scanning even as we speak! It's taken me about 2 days so far, I reckon I have about another day or so to go: I still have about 15 pages of the Music Life Special to scan, and then I have the Pioneers tour programme thingy, and some more bits and bobs - my scanner is overheating like mad XDDDD

I'm just so happy to be able to get my stuff out there and share it with all of you, it does me no good having it all sitting in a drawer occasionally getting dusted

 I'm happy to hear you've recovered neonico, I am sorry about damaging your health yesterday

I've only got two Bamboos unfortunately (I was bidding on a third one last week, no.2 at that, but some *expletives deleted* person sniped me in the last 10 seconds of the auction :smt013 ), no. 18 and no. 29, I can list what there is in them but I don't recall seeing the article you're looking for - sorry :(

Bamboo 18:
- Part 2 of an ongoing Angus McBean interview
- Review of Mark Isham-scored movie The Moderns
- Some Japan trivia trufax
- An interview with Mick Karn from backstage at the Princes' Trust concert of 1988
- Slightly worrying Letters page
- "A Cultural Exchange with Kenny Wheeler"
- Review of an Azimuth gig
- Short mention of Jane Siberry
- Perspectives offer
- Latest band member news from 1988
- Something about maybe cancelling the tour special
- Short interview with Sylvian
- Interview with band Two Little Ladies

Bamboo 29:
- Review of Mark Isham's Songs My Children Taught Me
- Page about 'Moods 9' Bamboo party
- Fan article about 'Japan - First Impressions'
- Bamboo merch page
- Some more Japan trivia trufax
- Editor-recommended listening, including The Blue Nile
- Fan comments about Rain Tree Crow
- Latest band member and related artists news from Summer 1991
- Review of RTC Blackwater video
- Short interview from Lime Lizzard magazine with Sylvian
- Several short interviews with band members (very interesting given the emotions of the time surrounding RTC, actually)
- Dolphin Brothers interview
- More slightly worrying letters on the Letters Page
- Discography
- Offer for the now-uncancelled Tour Special
- List of back issues

If anyone wants any of that scanning, let me know :D

EDIT: OK, my first wave of stuff is finished :smt040 Over the next few days, I'll be sorting through my archive of stuffage in my loft, but I doubt I have much more than that to hand right now - it'll be interesting to see what else rubbish, er, I mean valuable archival materials, I can turn up
