Japan "Nightporter" Party

Celebrating 30 years of the music of Japan, the solo members and their
friends.

29th November 2008

9pm till 2am

The London Stone
109 Cannon Street
London EC4N 5AD

Directions: The London Stone is directly opposite Cannon Street
station, within short walking distance of Bank, Monument and Mansion
House tube stations.

Entry: £5 in advance or on the door. Advance ticket details at http://www.nightporter.co.uk/pages/party.html

Dress policy: Japan-esque encouraged but not compulsory!

Music: Japan, solo work and collaborations 1978 - 2008 plus other New
Wave, New Romantic, Futurist, Japanese Technopop, Glam, Alternative
and Experimental music.

Expect the sounds to be fun, eclectic and not a traditional "New
Romantic" night!

DJ's confirmed so far - Nick Nyro (Pretty In Pink) and DJ Stix (Electric Dreams)

If this works out I hope it can be an annual event.

Suggestions for what tracks should be played - especially from the
solo work - are most welcome!

No comments as yet...?

Well, here's mine. This is excellent and I think anyone who either lives in the UK or can get there (not here, I'm live from Italy atm!) should pull out the stops and go. Remember, it's Richard's birthday at midnight (30 November) and I need someone to share the champagne with me when I toast him!!! :D

A-hem! As if you're going to be left on your lonesome to toast Richards Birthday! OK, I wont actually imbibe the champagne (can't abide the stuff - YUK!) but other alcoholic bevereges will be consumed I'm sure!!! Now I just have to decide what I'm dressing up as ... :!:

As i have zero interest/desire dressing up as a faux new (nu?) romantic I hope I will still be allowed entry in more conservative/trad dress :-D

Aw, this sounds great but there is no way on Earth I could make it. a) won't have the time, b) way too costly, and c) the Atlantic Ocean is fairly large and I'm not that great of a swimmer...
