Ingrid's site is online. The only thing that is functional is her poetry page, (varying quality). Seems like the break up is played out from both sides now...

She does seem as heartbroken at the split as Sylvian is and appears to accept the responsibility....he used to call her "l'ange" apparently which I think is "the angel" if my schoolboy french stands up
all rather sad

or a cynical ploy to garner attention and sympathy from the sylvian buying fans in preparation for her new release?

I rather not to think of anything like that... and I'm not a fan of her.

I agree with poisoned_apathy, both points.

Nice photo of her with David and Ryuichi though, not seen that one before.

she's just different is all. I don't want to take sides since i wasn't there to witness the demise. I look forward to going over and reading her stuff and seeing what she's up to.
We all express our creativity differently and sometimes it doesn't appeal to anyone...

*i just went and looked it over.... if those background images are all her photographs she is definately talented as a photographer. I enjoy her work in that respect.

Personally, I love her one and only solo album, so I'm looking forward to whatever new music she might have in the works.

Judging from her "friends" list on MySpace, she's fondly remembered by Prince's fan base, which bodes well for her career.

Sooooo, amidst all the excitement, did we forget to post the link? Or, is it accessible from the myspace site?

@ marcello99... I liked a few cuts from her solo ep. Lighthouse sticks out in my mind as one i enjoyed. From a musical standpoint it definately has david's fingers in the production of it. It'll be interesting to see what she comes up with all the same.

She actually had a solo EP out while she was with David? I'm not familiar with that! Is it widely available or one of those "search ebay" items?

I loved her '92 album, which definitely bore the influence of Prince (or at least his production team). Unfortunately I've only got it on cassette, and me cassette player's gathering dust in the basement! I haven't listened to it in ages.

If she chooses the right collaborators she could come up with some pretty nifty stuff. Fingers crossed...

I don't have her 92 cassette. Yes she released a small EP while married to David in the late 90s. It was a collaboration and David offered to help with the production. He has some vocals on it as well... in the same manner as vocals Ingrid would do for his work.
the name of the ep is little girls with 99 lives. I was given the ep as a gift. If your interested let me know. I haven't seen it for sale anywhere however a couple of her tracks are b sides on the two different I surrender single releases.
