Site Problems

Postby Blemished on Wed Jan 09, 2019 11:06 am

Dear all

Just want to apologise for the temporary disappearance of the site. Frankly, it's been a nightmare - not really clear what went wrong or how - seems to have been something to do with server updates to Apache 4 (whatever that means).

I'm hoping that nothing has been lost. Haven't tested everything yet, but we do appear to be back up and running.

Happy new year to you all!

Best wishes

Glad it's back.
I was wondering if the recent slow trickle of activity had led to the plug being pulled - happy to see that's not the case. This is too valuable a resource to let that happen.

I'm glad we're able to visit this nice, sometimes a bit quiet forum again. Thanks!

Yes, sorry about the glitch for a few days - the server ran out of space and one thing seemed to trigger another! Got there in the end and know how to deal with that problem should it arise again.

I wouldn't take the site down without letting everyone know - and, in fact, have just renewed for another year - even if it's a year of relative silence!

Let's hope the silence does not last forever and that we have not waited in vain.

Sorry that site lost its background graphics recently (mid Dec 21) - have restored to month start and made some space and all seems ok now.

The site was not approachable this week and now it is shown in a wrong way. Hope everything is fine.
