David's cancelled Implausible Beauty tour is the one of the great what-ifs for me. And a big part of that is Hildur Guðnadóttir, who was going to be a part of it. Have been really enjoying - if that's quite the right word given the dark subject matter - her work for the Chernobyl series on HBO/Sky. It's so pivotal to the menace and darkness of the story being told and very interested to see that she built the soundscapes of recordings taken from a power station in Lithuania where much of the series was filmed. Very much in the mould of David's electro-acoustic era I think. Her other work - notably on Sicario 2 is - outstanding and there are other crossovers with DS world, including playing cello for Sakamoto's soundtrack to The Revenant. It's a shame David and Holder didn't work together as she might have had a similar impact on him as Fennesz did.
