I was pretty excited about the album when it came out, as I was a huge Fripp fan once upon a time. I am still very fond of him, but I find the particular direction the Fripp/Sylvian project had sounds very dated to me now, very kind of 80s. And this is really in contrast to how I see Sylvian's solo output. I find most of his solo work to have a very timeless quality to it.
But the album has amazing presence, it just sounds incredible. I love Darshan, and the groove ending to Firepower. There is some really great psychedelia here.
