The Librarian, but it isn't on the poll. Second choice would be Atom and Cell.

"Darkest Birds". One, it was what got me into the band in the first place, and you never forget these first-time songs. Two, it's connected to certain imagery and characters dear to my heart; I often think about the hypothetical soundtracks or music videos accompanying stories and once you've made that connection, it strenghtens the hold a song has on you.

"Snow Borne Sorrow" has mood swings (so to speak) that make it impossible for me to see it as a favourite, but I love the first one and a half minutes. Love it. Quirky and surreal and dry as the sound of breaking twigs. (Not that the rest of the song was bad--it's beautiful, for sure, only very different.)

voted Wonderful World
only because of the way it was performed on the last tour. (without Stina)

Yes, if Kera can fix it, then I will definitely vote for The Librarian.
And 'later' SBS collaboration Birds sing for their lives is a haunting beauty for me. Strangely enough I don't mind David's voice not being on there, Steve and David did great work on there.
Further I keep skipping Darkest Birds, still don't know why.

yeah i suppose i was trying to stick to the originally released cd. You know I do remember adding the Librarian so i don't know why it isn't on the poll. HHMMMM

Voted for "Atom and Cell", but "A History of Holes" and "The Librarian" were both strongly in the running, too. Least favourite - "The Day The Earth Stole Heaven". Too much la,la,la.

The Librarian is now added! Sometimes on the poll it looks like you added the last option when you really didn't. I have made the mistake too, you have to click 'add to option' and then another blank bar will appear and you'll be like "What the!?" And then you know you've got it right!!! :D

I chose History of Holes by the way!

this may seem weird.... but do other people love the song snow borne sorrow because of the line ..."let the children come to me" or am i just a freak and love the emotionality in that statement??

think i've mentioned this, but i when i first heard this song i totally misheard the lyrics and thought sylvian was singing oh satan insted of oh save them. and as offensive as that might be, i thought it was kind of liberating. so i am now intentionally mishearing the lyrics. few things are weird in my book......
