Bill Nelson played on Gone to Earth...

Just wanted to drop a line and let you know that the great guitarist, Bill Nelson, had a younger brother that died recently.
Check out his website if you want www.billnelson.com

When he played on some songs from Gone To Earth with David - it was like a dream come true for me.

Stay young,

Mark

Plus I really Loved Bill Nelson's work on the Rain Tree Crow album....

I would really enjoy if Bill hooked up with Dave, Mick, Steve or Richard again in any collaborative effort.....

I always thought Bill was one of the most unique and most versatile guitarists..... especially his late 80's and most of his 90's work......

I also first heard Bill on GTE in '86 and followed his career ever since. I have collected most of his albums which at the last count amounted to around 80 !!
In addition to being an amazing guitarist, he is also versatile on many other instruments.
In the early 80s, Mick Karn played on a couple of his tracks and he also worked with YMO (Naughty Boys) and on a trio of Yukihiro Takahashi solo albums. He is married to Emiko (previously Mrs Takahashi).

Bill Nelson

I champion Bill's work - past and present. It's good to see other people appreciating his musical magic.
He may be in Boston later this year with a Nelsonica convention.
I told him about 9 years ago when he played in L.A. how much I enjoyed his collaboration with David Sylvian.
He said he would welcome the chance to do it again.
