No-Man-Mixtaped

I just received No-Man's newest DVD and it's fantastic. For the ones here, No-Man are Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson. Tim made "Flame" with Richard and Steven is Porcupine Tree's frontman, as many of you might know. How's this related to Japan? The JBK guys played with No-Man in a tour in the 90's and it was nice watching some bits of that footage (at the Marquee gig) in the documentary on the DVD. In fact that's how Richard got involved with Porcupine Tree. So a little connection, but interesting to watch (tho it's just some minutes in there).

Also great the concert on the DVD. Still have to watch it all tho! Very appealing music for fans of Sylvian I think!

And don't miss the fantastic gallery ;-)

It's worth waiting for!
It would be so fun to see them once again, but time flies
Btw, anyone who knows why S.W. is barefoot on stage?

In an old Italian TV show (Signify era) he's asked about this and he says he reaches and presses the pedals better that way.

That show is btw very interesting, cause Rich talks a bit about Japan. But he's also quite annoyed in it with some of the questions!

Steve's been doing the barefoot thing as long as I can remember. I guess its just part of his stage persona. People sure do notice.

I'm finally starting to get into the new pt record. Its starts off a little to abrasive for my ears but the second half is quite nice. We didn't a get included on the tour this time around so I'm kinda jealous. Hopefully they will come back to the states this spring.

Scott, where in the States are you? Because they had a few dates in the States in September :?:

For anyone pondering if they should go to see them... GO! I am even working on adding 2 dates more to my personal tour, so good it is! :D

Boulder Colorado. We got skipped this time around. Unfortunately I have no travel budget at this time. I have seen them a couple of times though. I caught them on the Blank Planet tour in 07. Great show. The song Half Light was the highlight for me. I still dont have a copy of that song so if you happen to have an extra copy laying around :) hint-hint ;)

Ah, ok, because I was in the East coast shows and they were truly great :) I don't wnat to calculate how much I spent this year going to PT shows, but it's worth and even more meeting all the good friends that came too! :D

I do have Half Light in the Lazarus single. I can offer you an MP3 if you want. PM if interested :)

Just got mine. Listening to Pretty Genius from the bonus cd at the moment. Very nice. I need to find some quiet time to watch the videos now. My wife hates this stuff. :)
