I find Mick's stuff quite hard to get into at first because it is SO weird on first hearing - but it grows on me. But I can see why it's not everybody's cup of tea.

PS...does everyone at a JBK gig lounge about in a state of permanent relaxation in big easy chairs? I cant imagine it being a very lively occasion! In a good way, of course.

It's not because it's difficult, or wierd - I love loads of stuff far less accessible the Mick's. It just didn't do anything for me.

JBK stuff isn't all ambient instrumentals - get yourself Playing in a Room with People to get an idea.

Listened to 'Beginning to Melt' (Medium productions vol 1) at the weekend - really enjoyed it. Anyone else know it? It's very satisfying on the ears...some fabulous atmospherics from Rich, and his wife has a stunning voice.
