Various hard to find items

Postby anortherncod on Mon May 05, 2008 1:01 pm

Hello everyone!

Finally, what you've all been waiting for - a sensible post by me, unlike the one I made last night

Have been doing some detailed research into my Want List 1, but am left with the following questions...

1. Is proggrl the ONLY person in the world to have a copy of RB and Tim Bowness' Flame?

2. Does anyone own Playing In A Room With People, and, if so, from where? Or am I going to have to invite JBK to my living room so that it can be recreated...?

3. What on earth is the MK Collectors' Edition I keep seeing everywhere? The cover is reminiscent of one of the other albums, so what's the deal?

Thanks in advance for your superior knowledge!

Natasha

Edit: knew I forgot something. I asked about the T'Ai Auditorium album a while ago. Again, those of you who have it, where did you get it from? I suppose the answers to a lot of these questions will be eBay...

I have Playing in a room with People and got it from Burning Shed when all of a sudden they got some extra stock at discount prices. Sadly it's not on sale there anymore...

Thanks for that Sis - if nothing else that means some of the things I am looking for can still be had from Burning Shed - I didn't know about putting 'Medium' in as a search term!

And there's something else I forgot too...

Can anyone who owns a copy of Pulse confirm (or deny) that the artist listed is Steve Jansen and Yukihiro Takahashi?

It might seem like nit-picking, but it's important because my by now infamous Want List 1 consists of recordings by ex-members in their own names, or collaborating with other people, or as a permanent member of a band - ie, Richard in PT. Want List 2, when it happens, will be guest appearances like DS' on Sandii and the Sunsetz albums, for example.

Thanks again...

I can confirm it and I do have it. I don't have the remixes one (the one on top of the BS link) but have the real album (the one on bottom). I like it very much, just a pity it's so short! *if you want me to send you some of it...*

Thanks Sis. I realised there were two - the ordinary one and the remix one - the first seems impossible to find, the other not so much.

Did I ever tell you how generous you are btw...?

Nah... I'm not that good!

I found that one on cd-wow, but it doesn't seem to be listed anymore. Probably I got the last one, as it was covered totally in dust!

BTW Crazy Diamond has Indigo Falls (you have it but anyway...), Seed and Beginning to melt on sale. Though the latter one has the cover mistaken (for the From Stone to Flesh one), so not sure which one they have!

Search for Medium in label.

You can also check Amazon UK marketplace. They have Pulse there at a decent price

Thanks again... my research was based on 'own label' websites and Amazon, and a lot is there cheap. There are just a few stubborn ones I can't find, I think that will just be a case of selling my car when they come up on eBay... :(

Oh well, ebay can get expensive, but I was lucky and got _ism relatively cheap, for example. But Changing Hands was more expensive to get!

_ism I got, believe it or not, from my local shop. Amazing, eh?

(My poor car is upset now because she thinks I'm going to sell her. Don't cry, Fiesta, tomorrow we can go to work together and I've got a new No-Man CD for you to listen to. Now doesn't that feel better?)
