Just ordered a copy for myself, chris! I will probably not get it for a while cause i chose the slowest shipping way to make it cheaper. :-)

Aww that's great! I really hope you like it! I can tell you that my preview copy came via that same method of shipping and I received it the very next day after they shipped it, so it shouldn't take too long...The longest part is the manufacturing process, as they make them as they are ordered.
You may well have it by Saturday if mine was anything to go by.

Thanks again!

Chris

Gracias!

You know it's so rewarding to see that my work is going to be in the hands of people that I know (at least I feel as if I know all you through your posts here) in all areas of the globe...It really does touch me in ways that I cannot describe...It's very humbling indeed.

My only hope is that you are all able to connect with the images in that way that I wish...
...When I take photographs, I work from the heart, I turn off the technical side of my brain and react purely on my emotional responses to what I am seeing, so I hope that comes across.

I also want to say that I chose this particular format of the book based solely on it giving me as near to photographic quality as possible.
A regular paperback edition would've been much cheaper to produce, and would've actually stood a chance of making some profit for me, but I just couldn't justify that with myself.

I also wanted people to be able to have as many images as possible in the largest size possible without it costing someone a small fortune to own!
Ordinarily, even at the low cost I've offered these prints for, you'd be looking at $500 worth of prints...So I do hope this book feels like a good value to you all.

OK, I'm rambling again!

Thanks again to everyone!

Chris

it definately looks to be worth it.

In fact, I have been wanting to print a book of my own photographic work for a long time now. Finding a publisher for my idea has been the hard part. I looked into self publishing through iPhoto... great quality but WAY expensive. But i looked through Lulu and now I'm thinking I'll be able to do some books of my work without it costing me over 100 a book, which would have made it cost prohibitive to sell. So thanks so much for inspiring me :-)
