A Question For David

If you could meet David Sylvian and ask him one or two questions, what would you want to know?

And please, if others already know the answers to questions, post them!

My question would be "What is your favorite smell?"

As we all know David was a very shy guy. What i would ask is do you regret not being more outgoing in your younger days?

In reality, I'd probably just stand there trembling, trying to form words that just wouldn't come.

In theory, however, I'd like to ask him what some of the lyrics are about and what inspired them. I'd also like to ask him for his side of the story of his changing relationship with Mick, but that's way too personal, so I probably wouldn't ask it. And as I'm a vegan, too, I'd like to swap recipes!

Oh, so many things I'd want to ask. Has he ever considered doing a book of poetry? What hobbies does he have (outside of the ones known, like interest in film, art, books)? What's the story behind that skateboarding incident? What makes him laugh? And on and on...

Seriously, I can't think of anything I would ask him. I'd probably just say "Thanks so much" and be too starstruck to say anything else.

Im sure i'd come down with a serious case of foot-in-mouth disease. I'm hopeless on questions and stuff and if i ever got the privelege to meet Mr Sylvian i'd be beside myself.

Sadly, the sort of questions I would like to ask, I doubt you would ever get an honest answer to!

1. What was going through your mind when you ran out of the studio with the master tapes to RTC, and do you regret it!
2. What are your bad points?
3. Are you difficult to live with!
