Caroline?

I 've been listening to the two "Caroline" tracks and I am of the opinion that she is in fact Ingrid...maybe he can't bear to say her name anymore,

Perhaps it could be a reference to Ingrid, but for now... Nobody knows...

I was thinking perhaps he could be talking about Caroline records, which King Crimson released a few albums under.

Or perhaps Caroline is someone that none of us would know about!

... There have been quite a few "Caroline" theories if you look in the few recent topics under "Nine Horses"

hello to everybody, I'm relatively new here ('relatively' = long lurking history). nice forum!

I'm under the impression that Caroline is a fictitious character built upon the black waitress - a real-life person as it seems - which appears in the poem 'A Diner Called Heaven' (see the Text section on David's site). the psychological traits by which she is described there lead me to think so.

I read "A Diner Called Heaven" a while back and thought that it was quite interesting. From what I take he was sitting at a diner gazing at this waitress pondering about his... life? It seemed like he was writing from personal experience.

i wondered about the caroline reference myself.... it is very interesting where an artist's mind can take them. I am so intrigued by it all...
