Does she still love him....

Talk about anything David Sylvian related.

Does she still love him....

Ingrid has updated her influences on her myspace page with the following...

more like favorite artists that come to mind...David Sylvian, Sol Seppy, Stina Nordenstam, Joanna Newsom, Iron and Wine, midnite, Angie Stone, Erica Badhu, Lyrics Born, Eve, Jill Scott, Cat Power, Me'shell Ndegeocello, Juana Molina and Devendra Banhart.

David Sylvian wasn't mentioned a few days ago and is now top of the list!!! :D

Why would anyone, female or male, care in any way about such things?

Some people are interested in the people behind the music and their lives blah blah blah....it's human nature.

If I can just interject between Baht Habit and SimonP, I have been on numerous Sylvia/Japan sites were unwarranted comments have led to open warfare, if something is posted which in your opinion is irrelevant it can just be disregarded rather than a personal attack being made on whoever posted it....any more from either of you and I will visit you in the small hours and put a bat up your night dresses

heh heh. The Mets? No Series for them. Looks like the Tigers are the surprise team of the year. I profess no great penchant for baseball, but I don't think the Cards will beat them. The Tigers seem to be on quite a hot streak. Shades of the mid eighties....Rah.

And I feel that I must point out that I did not engage in a personal attack in any way, nor would I ever do so. I recall the nasty effect that a certain alt.sylvian.fan poster who went by the name ANDREW had on the newsgroup.

I only asked what I believe to be a legitimate question. It seems puzzling to me that a Sylvian fan would treat the personal relationship between he and his ex-wife as if it were possibly some sort of dramatic soap opera...i.e DOES SHE STILL LOVE HIM? Not only do I not understand why a fan would care, but also why a fan would invite possible gossip that may lead to speculation which could be unflattering to the people being discussed. Would anyone really believe that Sylvian could have any respect for a fan who concerns himself or herself with gossiping about his personal life?
So basically I asked a question that reflects my incomprehension of the matter, though now I realize that the question itself should have been better detailed. Hopefully, I have better detailed it. It was not meant as a personal attack.

now the bat up a nightdress....heh heh, that would be an attack that seems a little too personal indeed :)

DEEEETROIT RAWK CITY!!! WAHOOOOOO!!!!!!

As for Ingrid, she admired David's work even before she met him, so it's not surprising that she still admires his work even after the divorce.

But on a more cerebral note: DEEEETROIT RAWK CITY!!! WAHOOOOOO!!!!!!

Heh heh heh...

I indirectly support the Cards... my best friend is attending uni in St. Louis, her hometown, and she would kill me otherwise.

Anyway... I think any discussion, other than the fact that there are two extra seconds tacked onto whatever version of The Art of Parties, is interesting. How boring would things get if there were no speculation? Well, that's just my opinion.

Well then, I guess I won't pick on the mis-spellings of the artist's names in that list, although I must admit I find it humorous if that was HER error.

But then again, that is just me being me---yeah, Bi-otchy might come to mind---heeheheee :-D
