Dead Bees era. In those photos the man looks like he's gone through hell and has found some kind of peace. Plus he has a cool leather jacket and shades which helps.

Secrets of the Beehive era... Long wavy brown hair that was sometimes tied back into a ponytail! :-)

Yes!

I also loved the look during the first half of the Blemish tour.

1982. My favorite all time David look can be found on the cover of the April 10, 1982 edition of "Sounds" magazine.

Funny how - these days - a lot of women seem to go for men with very shaven heads, yet most people here say Davio looks better with the longer hair. Just an observation.

My mate had long hair a bit like Sylvian's circa the Blemish tour. People kept on calling him Jesus. I'll never forget one hilarious night out when he started blessing people on the dance floor.

Heh heh

I HATE men with super short hair or shaved heads. I think it is sooooooo ugly. I don't get that trend in hairstyles. I think it is just a waste.

My favourite david era of hair.... hhmm... that is hard... i love his hair during his first solo work. MMMMMM

I love his hair as it is now.... MMMMMMMMMMMMM

Never got into the shaven thing myself - I much prefer to run my fingers through a guys hair as opposed to his scalp....

My 'Fave-Dave' is 81-82, he looked sooooooooooooooo good in the Visions vid.

Fi

Yup, the short, cropped look from the Dead Bees era was cool and I liked the leather jacket too!

The haircut he keeps nowadays has to be my favorite, along with the Brilliant Trees style, very different, but both very stylish.

Whilst I agree that the shades and leather jacket look of DBOAC was extremely cool, the shorter cropped hair-do made our David look too much like David Beckham (Eugh! Yuk! + hurl!). No, for me the most gorgeous David is either the Shamen era 87-88 or as he has it nowadays, which is still quite long for a 50 year old.

Tend to agree with the person who said that it's much nicer to be able to run your fingers through a guys hair, however, some people like MK, look da*n fine with either long or short hair. I guess a lot of men have the very short hair to disguise the fact they are going bald.

It is rather adorable that his oldest daughter at the time had the same haircut as her papa.... Very adorable. But with his hair like that he just reminded me a bit of angry poo. LOL
