Meetup - LONDON 14 JUNE

Postby anortherncod on Sat Apr 19, 2008 4:00 am

Hello everyone!

It has been decided that the UK meetup will be in London, the very city where this little fishie swam into the world many years ago.

SATURDAY 14 JUNE will be the date of the first one. We'll meet at lunchtime and then go for something to eat.

That gives us all around 8 weeks to organise transport and accommodation if needed, and hopefully the weather won't be too bad either!

Please choose one of the mainline railway stations above to meet in.

You'll notice (if I have done this right!) that the poll is only open for seven days - this is to try and 'cajole' people into replying sooner rather than later.

Could I also politely suggest that if you can't come, but would have liked to, you could say why here?

Look forward to your responses!

Hello Natasha!
I'll be there come rain or shine! I've voted for Kings X, but could just as easily make Liverpool St. (or any of the others for that matter). So exciting - really looking forward to meeting everyone! :-D :-D :-D :-D

Is Japanese food OK with everyone? I thought since we're getting together to celebrate JAPAN the group, it would be fun to have Japanese food too!!! :-D

Thanks for the votes so far.

Could we ask nicely that those of you who have voted, and those of you who may vote in the future, please post a reply too so that we know who you are?

No prizes for guessing who voted for Paddington! But any of the other stations is cool, too.

Does that mean you are coming? If you are I'll be able to see if you're as tall as I remember you being when I spied you at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester!

Reading this from the bottom up, I thought we had a bunch of Kings X (the band) fans here. ;)

Hi everyone! Great to finally get some responses from people! I was getting worried it would be just Natasha and I and a bucket of wine! (not that it would be a problem ...)

The poll should now be closed... that's if I entered it correctly... so King's Cross wins. Does meeting at one o'clock suit everyone? If certain people want to meet in the evening we could always swap mobile numbers. Let me know what you think.
