are there any scandinavians here at all btw? i'll post these review links from Copenhagen anyway:

Danish: http://jp.dk/kultur/article1081846.ece
4 out of 6 stars, one picture, fairly positive review, but since I'm not danish I won't translate it. weird language ;)

Danish: http://www.berlingske.dk/anmeldelser/artikel:aid=939044
3 out of 6 stars, one picture, compares sylvian with a melancholic Bryan Ferry, depressed Dave Gahan and Nick Cave. Not a very ecstatic review really.

Swedish: http://sydsvenskan.se/nojen/article265261.ece
don't know what to say about it. this guy probably enjoyed the show, but it is rock journalism going pretentious big time.

Thanks for the reviews, Sylvie!

I have been checking out some newspapers the day after but couldn't find anything about the gig.

I'm so glad that there are girls t-shirts, I didn't really check that out.
I hope there are also mini mini sizes because I want to get one for my brother too. Is there anything on the back of the shirts?

Someone wrote on the 'Japan-pioneers' forum:

"Hi all. Don't know if all this is well known to you all but in a swedish newspaper (SvD) there was an interview with Sylvian today. One of the interersting news (for me, at least) was that S told the reporter that he had planned for one year to make this tour his last. After the tour he will continue working on his news solo cd."

That is indeed of interest. The World Is Everything Tour = Sylvian's Farewell Tour ? And a certain part of the World which happens to believe it is the greatest nation on Earth and the end-all be-all center of the universe happens to be neglected  heh heh, how ironic. (disclosure: I am from that certain nation, yet still find Sylvian's decision more than slightly amusing)
So could it be possible that the outcome of this tour is that there is finally some sort of official live documented recording of a David Sylvian solo concert? Not that I am entirely convinced that this lineup and this particular set list could transfer over to create the definitive live Sylvian solo cd since it seems to be weighted towards Sylvian's more recent excursions with Nine Horses and collaborative efforts. Yet if this does happen to be the final tour then I guess that in itself would be worthy of release.
Could this be something to expect, what do you all think of that possibility?

I'm trying to recollect something here - thought that a while back David said in an interview that one of the reasons he didn't put out a live cd or dvd was that he didn't own the rights to his own material - Virgin owned most of the Japan stuff and David's solo work through the E&N cd - so there would be costs to license it for inclusion in something like that and he wasn't thrilled about having to pay Virgin for the right to use his own material.

However, I thought I saw mentioned since then (on another forum) that David bought back the publishing rights to his solo stuff (after Virgin put out the remasters).

All that might be burbled in my mind, but I remember something like this being discussed during the time of the Blemish tour. Ring a bell with anyone?

The eight month gap between the first and second part of the E&N tour gives a dim hope that David might still consider doing a few dates in Canada/US this time around.

Well, I think....POSSIBLY.......that he should call it the World is Everything And You-Know-Where is STILL C-R-A-P But I Don't Mind Living There Part of the Year Farewell Tour :-D
That would be a Heck of a T-shirt, huh?

But hey, no need to get bitter anymore. Let the Man do what he has to do, or not do, and I will certainly do the same, which is enjoy other artist's tours.

Can't wait for the solo album---should sell well :D

O MY GOD!!
I just got an email from a nice couple from Antwerp, they were sitting on my left in Stockholm. They met David in the hotel bar opposite of the China Theater. They got his autograph!!!

I'll ask them all about it when I see them in Eindhoven (hopefully).
Don't think they took pictures because they asked me to send mine.
