Thanks for all the kind words about the photos. They were taken by my sister and I think they are beautiful too. Especially, she was actually in a “panic” situation to take those photos! As mentioned, the HK gig staff maybe the most responsible ones in the world about stopping people from taking photos. They ran all over the place to do their jobs, after a couple of guys sitting around us got caught, my sister was fear she'd be the next one, but since she knows that's my biggest wish to have those photos as memories, she's still willing to take the risk. The best of all were taken when David performing the Wanderlust, everyone knew it was the last song, so rushed to the stage including us! I've got the place right in front of David to watch him singing (just a few feet away!) and my sister got her best position to take the photos.
After reading comments, watching YouTube videos, listening to the bootlegs and the zero possibility for any kind of surprises, I thought I’d be cool about it. Actually forcing myself not too emotional, as afraid that the more I enjoyed it, the more depressed I would be afterwards. But the truth is when I was entering into venue, I still felt fine but then when I seat down and realized that although we were in the forth row, it’s no more no less right opposite to David’s seat! I surrender! With such a nice view, I knew I was going to lose control even before the gig started.
The view from our seats & the press waiting to start their job.
Around 8:40 pm, the lights went out a little, the gig was about to begin and people started applauding! David and his band finally appeared (Hey guys, I’ve been waiting for you for months! And years for David?), no grand entrance but, do I need that? Of course not. Maybe due to some kind of technical problem, they didn’t start right away, a staff went up to fix something for them, and David then said to the audience: I’ll be with you in a minute. He said it so gently. I thought: Never mind, take your time. I am so happy for you just standing there. But soon, the gig formally began!

I didn’t jot them down, just copied from a local forum.
David’s voice was absolutely perfect to me, I could simply forget the fact that he was once so sick that he had to cancel 3 gigs last week. Not sure starting from which song, he started to turn his head away to cough a bit every time when he had the chance. But soon he continued to sing, again flawlessly. Maybe the audience at the back didn’t aware that but for those of us who seating near the stage could see that clearly, as I read similar observations from a few Chinese blogs. I felt brokenhearted for seeing him that, but on the other hand, I felt greatly appreciated to him for still being so professional to deliver such a good performance.
Read again some posts about David’s smile. I think he smiled a lot and it can be seen from our photos but the quality was very unsatisfied…
And the rest of the band – Steve was of course the one who had the next strong presence on the stage, even though he looked tired to me (hoping I was wrong and he’s just looked serious), people said he went to the after show party. David didn’t go as reported. Yes, please take as much rest as you can! Keith and Watanabe comparatively looked ease especially Keith, I thought he’s quite cheerful.
Any complaints? Yes! It was too short though I knew it was just about 90 minutes. And for a live performance, it’s a pity to see the use of tape occasionally instead of playing the real instruments…
Anyway, I am more than happy about the whole thing, afterall, it’s a dream finally come true. It can imagine it’s not a light job to tour again, but I really hope that David would do it again (and again!) and I would have the luck to be there.
