I am always so indecisive that I think I a going to start studying the menu already to have ready what I want when we are there

Seriously, is everyone okay with the Wagamama? What time should we meet then?

Also, what's the dress code for the RFH, if anyone has been there before? I am usually a jeans gal and I just don't want to be wearing totally different than the rest

last time I was there it was strictly a Black Tie or White Tie affair with people being turned away who did not dress appropriately!

It was also a company function so that has absolutely NO relevance to the DS gig   I am sure you''ll be fine wearing jeans :)

cheers

For the Slowfire concert and the Blemish tour (1st at Queen Elizabeth Hall on the south bank and the 2nd at RFH), there was no dress code. I think you need not worry about it.

Ha ha I am exactly the same - I feel like I should look at the menu too ya know...

Oh and I think an annual meeting in London would be good but then I live right next door so it would be supra convenient for me...

There isn't a dress code, but I will probably be wearing mostly black as that's what Steve and David wear nowadays anyway.

Yes, I've printed out the menu. I've narrowed it down to 8 items!

Is it all right if I come, too, as I'm going to the gig on my own? I'll understand if you guys all know each other already and want to keep it friends only.

Of course you can come. :D I think we agreed back in May that we were going to meet up anyway as I'm on my own too (in fact,I think practically all of us are "going alone" to this show). What time are you arriving? Can you make it for lunch in Kensington?

Great ! :D Not quite sure what time I'll be in London yet - I still need to make care arrangements for my elderly mother, and it's dependent on that. I hope I can make lunch, though.

It's come round so soon. It only seems a few days ago that it was months away and now it's less than a month.

Know what you mean Mel.

I'm on my todd as well, so you're not alone there. I'm always alone (apart from a few occasions) when I see Sylvian and I began to become very frustrated with people I'd take with me who didn't see the value in what was done on stage. So, now the decsision is to go it alone. At least in that way I'll find myself not having to justify what is played (I refer explicitly to the fire in the forest tour..."you just don't get it"). The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Sylvianites are loners in one way or another, whether that's just my preconception or not I don't know.
Anyway, I look forward to meeting some fellow Sylvian fans - I always fell shy of that before. My fault, should be more forthcoming I guess.

Amen to what you said above!!

The hardest or most frustrating thing about being a music enthusiast, as I like to call myself---is having to justify my tastes and appreciation to everyone around me--that is, the everyday folk, the "mainstream" if you will. So yes, I also feel us Syvianites have to enjoy in the company of ourselves most of the time. At least at the shows you get to see a whole room (or at least a large percentage of it)full of people just like yourself.

Melaszka, I don't think any of us has met before, so no worries! Just join us!

Okay, so this is the new list so far

Arieleven
Proggrl
Sonic
Steerpike
tallulahtaurus
Sisterlondon
camphorvan
Melaszka

So, we have to decide:

-Where we should meet

-When? (if the concert starts at 19:30, something like 18? Earlier?)

And also I am awful recognising faces, so hope we can find each other! :?
