Did David ever partake in groupies or drugs during the Japan days?

Did any member of Japan?

Were they wild partiers?

Please take no offence, but I can't see how a topic like this would delight anyone. And by that I mean who are we to speculate with whom Sylvian has slept with? Unless of course anyone wants to share their possible romantic adventures with the man, but I sincerely hope that is debated in an another forum or not at all....

I'm trying not to be too much of a moralist, but I found this discussion a bit weird.

The last romantic tells all. It seems he did have his wild moments!

The way I understood it, they weren't the "typical" rock -n- rollers where they had wild parties with tons of drugs or women. I think they did have what they would consider to be wild times but it seems like nothing compared to like say...Motley Crue or the Rolling Stones...or any other rock bands.

I do think his question is relevant in this forum because Sylvian and Japan are public characters. At least they were. If they exposed themselves the way they did, we all have the right to know who they really were.

If you aren't intrested in that issue, just avoid it. Yep...

I agree with you, but to be true I don't like that smiley that laughed at you some posts above *rolls eyes*

Well, I agree with all of you.

Actually, there really IS nothing to tell on this subject anyway, as I understand that the boys did not do such things because they were too shy, by their admissions.

whatever.

Probably not the best topic mate, whether they were public figures or not. But as mentioned earlier, the best source to your answer will be the Last Romantic book.

Apparantly the song Deviation is autobiographical. DS has often stated that he took cocaine during the later period of Japan/early solo years.

Not that I am that interested in Rhodesia 32's question, but I don't think we need someone to "police" the forum and decide what is inappropriate to discuss, the beauty of these exchanges is the mix of different people and their different views

I laughed at Sylvie because she comes off like a member of the PMRC.

'Drugs, and Sex in RnR oh my!'

Bands have written entire books on backstage antics, so I don't think it's weird in the least to want to know about these things. In fact, I think it's even more interesting in regards to Japan because they weren't the modern rock band of the day.

I don't care about the question, your reaction was rude, that's all. Laughing about anyone it's just out of question for me.

I'm done with this...
