Both Ends Burning

Postby Bern on Fri Sep 21, 2007 12:39 pm

I was talking to a guy at the Manchester gig who stated he had met Mick Karn in the early 90's at a No Man gig and Mick had said Sylvian had wanted to do a cover of the Roxy Music track "Both Ends Burning" as an encore on the final Japan tour as a sort of "in" joke (as Japan were forever getting compared to RM) and they had got as far as rehearsing it and Mick had done quite a wild bass arrangement when Sylvian pulled the idea because Brian Ferry did an article denegrating him and the band, I have never heard of this before, can anyone cast any light on it?
