Mick adds so much to this song. It also happens to be one of my favorites off of Never Forever. Also that tool Phill Collins is on drums, as well as Pete Townsnend on guitar!

Mick Karn doesn't play bass on "The Wedding List" I think it was John Giblin, he played on "Heads Were Dancing" and a version of "How to Become Invisible" which didn't make the final cut

Oh, I haven't seen this in years! I think it's from one of the Secret Policemen's Ball shows, an event that Prince Charles used to sponsor. Very cool! :D

Great tight drumming by Phil laying it down solid as always and keeping it all together. ('tool'? my @ss...keep on listening to those cheeseball teased out hair metal glamour groups that you seem to think are so exquisite and you have the gall to describe Mr Collins as a 'tool'...give me a break, candy @ss :)
bands.
Kate's strap on her dress somehow snaps at one point in the performance and she has a little look of embarrassment on her face. My goodness, she is a cutie, isn't she? I guess I now can understand how many of the women on this site go slightly ga ga for Sylvian.

I just saw this a week or two ago and almost lost it. Mick's tone suits the song so well. It's like this ultra masculine backdrop to Kate. The studio version could have used a flavor boost like this

Also, Pete Townshend was totally giving him the fanboy gaze.

According to wikipedia...Pete once said that Mick was the greatest bass player in all of London.

she is a cutie, isn't she?

I'm with baht habit...

Kate is absolutely, exquisitely adorable, I am in love with her I think - and I am a quite heterosexual woman. Poor lass with the straps, I admire how she ably carries on.

Gah I should stop fangirlishness squee is quite unbecoming/irritating...

Ha ha espesh about the fangirlishness being unbecoming no doubt - lol.

I'm glad, I don't think I can vibe with people who don't understand her appeal...

Its much the same re the Sylvian too...I fraternise merely with those who haven't heard/seen him or those who have and adore him. This is why I am a little afraid of playing him to my rl 'friends'...

Yeah, some people can be pretty close minded, and would write Kate Bush, or David off in a second. I don't blindly defend the both of them though...I don't have the nicest opinions about Mr. Sylvian all the time.

aw yes, i saw this some time ago and it made me think of how sweet is the fact that the whole british art rock scene was together. Peter Gabriel's and Kate's friendship so touched me, and now Mick added to the whole thing.. hm :)

i remember reading somewhere that part of one of David's albums was recorded in Real World studios actually. that was another nice connection found!
