proggrl wrote:...was recorded for Blemish and reportedly held back for the Jansen album. Hopefully, that means it will see the light of day SOON. :)

After seeing it performed live I asked Steve if it was from his forthcoming album to which he said "no, it's just something we put together for the tour".

That may have changed since of course, (and I hope it has), but in 2003 I guess it wasn't intended for release.

the nine horses project was started before blemish, it was left on the self for a while because blemish took the importance. information from samadhisound .com.

David likes to scatter his musical talents in many different directions at once which is just one reason why he is such an interesting musician, and so hard to define. Blemish is just one of my favourite albums ever, I think. I've never heard of the "Wasn't I Joe" track before. Will try to download tonight if the link is still valid!

I still don't get it...
when were "Wasn't I Joe" and "Blue Skinned Gods" written?
and why haven't these songs been properly released?
When was the first time they appeared on Davids set-list?
more info please...

well i would love to download but the free setting has some silly requirement that you can only download if you insert the code... and the code apparently is only the letters attached to a cat. There are very hard to see drawings in the letters so i can't tell what is a cat and what is not. Is there some easier way we can get these downloads???

As I pm'd to Laura I'd forgotten how annoying rapidshare could be They're basically trying to make the free service too hard to use I guess. I've uploaded the files on megauload instead. I'm not too keen on the associated advertising with megauload but hopefully you'll be able to get the files okay!

Jansenclone Thank you for sharing! Wasn't I Joe? = excellent. Wow - just brilliant. More please David! Blue Skinned Gods, errr, hmm, not liking that quite so much. Do you think he has now moved away from that particular Hindu/spiritual sphere of influence now? I mean is he into samples/electronica more these days or what? Can anyone contribute some informed/speculation on this? :-D

Hhmmm I think his work with 9 horses and the recent work we've heard of his shows his move away from his more spiritually based writings. Seems more realistic... or should i say more tangibly based. Or at least that is the feeling and impression i get from the work.
