Where does that song come from? It's brilliant. (Maybe I should know this, but I am quite new to Sylvians work)

It's most likely to be heard on some bootleg from the FITF tour, but was recorded for Blemish and reportedly held back for the Jansen album. Hopefully, that means it will see the light of day SOON. :) Had almost forgotten about the possibilities of this re-emerging.

Great track!!
Trust the proggrl.

Amazing song, darker than anything on blemish.

I agree with Adrian, I'd love to hear more stuff like this from David.

This is where I was expecting him to go, as opposed to the Nine Horses route.

that's exactly what I posted in the blemish thread - much as I like nine horse I feel it's a bit of a step back...
but as alway with sylvian it's the journey I like to share...

Adrian, I actually had made exactly the same observation myself (Think it was on reviewing all the albums in another thread) re post Blemish.

I concur. It was the next natural step forward, but then I think he realised how much he tried some fans patience and maybe he's out of the shadows now a little bit.

I don't think I've heard of anyone who attended the Blemish gigs that didn't think "Wasn't I Joe" was a fine piece of work.

I really wish I could 'revisit' that tour as I hadn't got into Blemish enough by the time of the tour to appreciate it.
On top of that, I took my sister, and had her buy the Everything and Nothing CD to give her an exposure to a lot of his music, and he hardly played any of it!
To be fair, she still enjoyed the concert, but it must have been trying to have to listen to Blemish for the 1st time like that, especially as Sylvian wasn't an artist that she had any history with as such, apart from hearing me playing his songs growing up.
But this was a highlight of the tour, as was The Other Side Of Life.
