Playing the Schoolhouse - download available

Postby silentwings on Fri Oct 13, 2017 1:05 am

The excellent Cafe Oto now has a download available of 'Playing the Schoolhouse'. I may be in the minority but I play this piece a lot and enjoy it. I think it's an interesting extension of the improv approach of many of David's collaborators.

Oto itself is a wonderfully intimate live venue. I saw the original performance of 'There is no Love' there and have been privileged to see Evan Parker, John Tilbury, Eddie Prevost, Mark Ribot, Mark Wastell and Rhodri Davies there too. There is always an interesting programme at Oto, sometimes for instance Evan Parker and David Toop playing vinyl from their collections. A Mark Ribot residency has recently been announced.

Here is the download link if anyone needs it:

Thanks, especially for the link to the shop https://www.cafeoto.co.uk/shop/
I don't care for a download, but it's always nice to go through such an eclectic shop
