Is Samadhi Sound in financial trouble? Selling off all these art works suggests they are either in doo doo or simply letting go of the past. David never had any real attachment to these photos. He said many times he was kind of embarrassed by them. Strange though that so many are appearing. Wasn't the Mick Karn hand sculpture Mick's first ever attempt at sculpting? He says he made it in 1978 in his book yet the tag on the sale page said it was a commision for David in 1989. Any ideas?

Sword of Destiny, Micks "Hand" was definetely arond prior to 1989 I remember him showing it on some BBC art show in 1982, he obviously did at least another one and in 1989 Sylvian and Karn were briefly again friends, Sylvian appeared on Karn's album Dreams Of Reason in 1987 and I am pretty sure 1989 was when the Raintree Crow sessions commenced, so maybe Mick did it as a favour.
Children are growing up maybe he needs the money for a college fund

No, doubt it... (going cheaply). This one is (obviously) an attractive one because it's on the cover of the European version of Perspectives, but I've already got one Holger Czukay collage and I'd expect this one to go almost as far as the Steve Jansen one... on top of that 'er indoors is getting a bit annoyed at all this Sylvian stuff hanging in the study! Still kicking myself for missing the Yuka collage, though! Now, that was a bargain!

Plus... and a lot of you will not know this... coming weekend it's Rowwen Heze's slotconcert 2012 in America, Limburg which is going to cost me a fortune!

Greetings from the Dutch mountains,
Sven

Samadhi and Opium (arts) are very different companies. Sylvian as far as I am aware is no longer an owner/director/silent partner of Opium. I believe Opium own the artworks? They were available for sale at the time of the original exhibition anyway so I'm sure they're just shifting archived stuff they have in their loft. I know for a fact Sylvian would have no attachment to items like these.

Actually I'm quite tempted by this one but I think I've spent enough on Sylvian in last few months. It's one of my favourite of the montages.

Interesting. This one didn't sell. The reserve price wasn't met with the highest bid coming in at £1800.
