I can't verify the accuracy but I read on a website that this compilation was only being released in Europe. I can't imagine it not being available in Asia but I can understand why it will not be scheduled for release in the US.

The US release is on 6th March :)

...well, the comp is being made available on Amazon.com on that date as a product being imported from Europe......while charging a price which is twice the amount on Amazon.co.uk. This is hardly what can actually be considered as a US release when there is no domestic label acting as distributor, can it? The website is simply importing a product which is only being officially released in Europe. This occurs quite often. Amazon Japan is also making the item available as import as well, at an inflated cost.

:-) I've received a meager shred of info to pass on...
It turns out that the new track is another collaboration with Jan Bang. From what I've been informed, it seems to be a bit more structured than much of Sylvian's recent output. Below is basically the brief description which I was given from someone who has actually heard the song:

Jan Bang produced the music, which is atmospheric and makes great use of samples. It could be considered a pop song, albeit an abstract one. The overall mood and feel of the track is very sexy.

There is a 2 page review and photo on the March issue of Uncut magazine (pages 102-103) and a small review on the March issue of Q (page 117).

I could be wrong, but from these and other reviews I get the feeling the world is in the mood to revisit/rediscover David's work. All the more pity that the tour is off...but I hope this compilation sells really well. It's currently ranked #47 on Amazon UK's rock music list.

And one other thought...given that there were supposed to be two new tracks on the compilation (it even looks like it was a last-minute change from the preview of the back of the CD on amazon - one more would have balanced the track-listings out), does anyone know if that track might have been 'Modern Interior'? It's another Jan Bang collaboration like 'Where's Your Gravity?'

Hi. Yes - I was aware of that. What I was curious about was whether that track was meant to be on AVOS but was then pulled off to be given to Sakamoto San's charity? It seems to have a similar sound to the clips of 'where's your gravity'. Or is there ANOTHER track that was lined up but didn't make it in time?
